Mission Statement:
Ginger Ford Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and with people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with God’s people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which people can live and grow into all that God intended.

Ginger Ford Habitat for Humanity is not taking applications at this time

You must have a NEED FOR HOUSING and be unable to obtain conventional financing due to limited income. You must have enough income to REPAY THE HABITAT MORTGAGE and your monthly living expenses, and you must have an acceptable credit history.
You and your family will be considered if your annual total income is between 30-60% of the median income for Tangipahoa Parish.
You must be WILLING TO PARTNER with Ginger Ford Habitat which includes working at least 350 hours to help in building Habitat homes.
Families can apply credit hours (time put in by friends and family on their behalf).
You must be a legal resident of the United States. Some residency requirements applicable.

1. How long does it take to get a home?
The application process takes 3 to 5 months.  You must finish you sweat equity hours before your house is finished.
2. What about my credit?
If you have had problems with you credit in the past we recommend you begin working on repairing your credit 6 to 8 months before you apply. Contact an agency such as Consumer Credit Counseling Services for FREE counseling advice.
